12:30pm: We hired a couple of bikes from Simon's Bike Shop and headed for the waterfront. Rode all the way around Stanley Park. Saw a bloke balancing stones by the water, and what passes for beach in Vancouver. Had an ice cream sitting on a log (yes, a log, there were lots of them) on one of them. Obviously too cold for swimming because there was no-one in the water. Not too cold for the natives to sunbake though ...
5:30 pm: Found some nice prawns in Chinatown - $5.99/lb. That's about $15.50/kg in real money. These were large king prawns - the ones that would be around $35.00/kg in Sydney. So, we decided to buy some prawns and some Chinese veges and cook dinner in the small kitchen in our hotel room.
6:45pm Back at the Internet cafe uploading photos and telling the world what we did today ...
7:45pm Off to find a nice bottle of (local) wine and cook dinner.
