Not many photos today. It rained almost all the way and visibility was very poor. We drove past the highest mountain in the Rockies, Mt Robson, and couldn't see it. The cloud base was too low.
30pm: We stopped for a toilet break at a rest area on the Thompson River where there were a lot of gophers running around. One was very friendly and came right up to the camera, grabbing the strap a couple of times and my finger once. It wouldn't stay still though so it took ages to get any decent photos.
30pm: Driving up a narrow, winding dirt road to Green Mountain in Wells Gray Provincial Park we encountered a back bear grazing at the side of the road. We got a few photos (none digital) before he deciced he'd had enough and disappeared into the forest.
30pm: Stopped for petrol in Dutch Lake, just outside Clearwater. The water was almost dead calm so we got some great photos of reflections in the water. If you look closely at the second last photo, you can see a snow capped mountain and its reflection in the water below. The mountain and the cloud behind it are almost the same colour so it's hard to make out.
15pm: Our B&B tonight, Captain's River Retreat, is a log house by the river, near Barriere.
