This afternoon, I looked outside and saw a pair of Pacific Black ducks which had followed the creek up from the Lane Cove River. There are usually lots of them around the weir near the park entrance from Lady Game Drive.

I couldn't get very close, but the 1.5x teleconverter helped a bit. I bought the teleconverter to take on holiday earlier this year but hardly used it. The pair of ducks wandered around the backyard for a while before heading up the creek and disappearing into the undergrowth next door.

As I was downstairs preparing the first lot of photos for the web site, they came back. To avoid disturbing them I took photos through the glass from inside. They didn't hang around very long this time - after a few minutes they took flight and disappeared over the top of number 12 back toward the Lane Cover River park.
