VaST's christmas party this year was a catamaran cruise on Sydney Harbour. We boarded at Lavender Bay Wharf, then cruised under power under the Harbour Bridge and past Circular Quay, the Opera House and Mrs Macquarie's Chair. We then raised the sails and headed past Garden Island, Rushcutters Bay and Point Piper, before turning North to pass Clarke Island on the way to Athol Bight, where we anchored for a barbecue lunch.

After an hour or so at anchor, we headed back to Lavender Bay, this time staying closer to the northern shore. We cruised past Blues Point before turning back to Lavender Bay, disembarking at the wharf shortly before 5:00pm.
