Our Alaskan road trip began at The G Street B&B in downtown Anchorage. It's also where it'll end on our last night before flying to Toronto via Seattle. It's a nice quiet place to stay with friendly hosts. Pam went out of her way to drive us to the airport to pick up our rental car!

Most of these photos were taken from inside the (moving) car. It didn't take long for the windscreen to pick up enough dirt & bugs to spoil the view. The snow covered mountain you can see in the last few photos is Mt McKinley, the highest mountain in North America.

Talkeetna is just over 100 miles by road from Anchorage. The guides say it's a two and a half hour drive, but we saw very little traffic and got there in about an hour and a half.
