12th May 2003 - Vancouver to Lake Kawkawa

10:10am: What happened to the 8:00am alarm?

11:00am: Breakfast at a place that claims the best brunch in Vancouver. Not bad, but not that good.

1:00pm: Heading out of Vancouver on Highway 1, the Trans-Canada Highway.

4:00pm: Stop at the Hope Visitor Info Centre (we need the toilet!) and we're told that there's an interesting museum in Yale, about half an hour's drive up the highway. When we get there, it turns out to be a small, old church they've stuffed a few things into, and they want $11.00 for us to go in, and they close in 15 minutes. We give it a miss and wander around outside. A goods train comes along a few minutes later and we take a few photos. Then we go looking for a good place to get some photos of the Fraser River.

6:15pm Arrive at the Kawkawa Lake B&B, right on the edge of Lake Kawkawa. Settle in, then gather our cheese & biscuits, fruit and bottle of red and go out on to the jetty for a while. There's a seaplane parked next door which we hadn't noticed earlier.
